What are the best Link Building techniques?

Hey guys, What are the best Link Building techniques? More often i use Forums Posting, blog commenting & Article Submission. What are the other better methods than this? Please dont suggest me for Directory submission.

Thanks in advance.

My number 1 tip is to write great content. If you write great content — content that no one else provides — you will inevitably get links from other blogs, from newsletters, from social media and everywhere else. You may even be listed as a resource by a major trade magazine or newspaper.

Other great link building ideas:

  • I know you said no directory submission, but I’ll only suggest one: DMOZ. If you can find an applicable directory and it has an editor (many do not), try a submission. It will take you 2 minutes and is well worth the effort.

  • Guest post on other popular websites. (Note: I primarily suggest you spend the time writing great content for YOUR website.) By doing so, you gain access to an entirely new reader base and your bio will most likely include a link back to your website.

  • Post on related discussion forums if they DO NOT have a nofollow tag. This tactic can provide valuable links from sites that are related to your topic. How do you know if they do or do not have a nofollow tag? Look at the source code of the article page for the rel=“nofollow” tag on a HREF in the comments. If they have a nofollow, then it will provide no benefit for link building; it may, however, provide a few click throughs from readers.

  • Ask people for links. It’s tough work, but if you know people in the same industry, just ask them for links. Make your request personal, not automated. Ask them in person, or by telephone, if you can. Tell them where you think a link to your site might benefit their readers, and how they can link to you.

  • Quote other people. People love to be quoted. And chances are that if you provide a nice quote from them in a valuable article, they’ll probably link to your article from their blog.

  • Put out a press release. Press releases through some providers are picked up by many other websites. As a result, one press release may generate 10 or more links to your website. The value is not fantastic, but they are links within the context that you control.

I hope this list is helpful. There are a ton of other ways, but not ones that I’d recommend (automated bots that build links, etc.).

Good luck!
