Sitelinks on google webmaster tools

Hi,

What do i need to do on my web page to get sitelinks on the bottom of my page when i search a term in google, they come underneath my result? Driving me mad, i know google auto generates them but there must be a better way to speed it up?

Thanks

Rhys

If you search Google for “SEO”, tne scroll down to the very bottom of the page you see these options (alternative suggested searches):

Now, what do you want to do with this information?

Do you want to put them on your website?

Are you talking about a sitemap? Like sitemap.xml that Google generates in the Google Webmaster Tools area?

If so, you need to physically take the file, put it on your webserver, edit your site’s footer, and add a link to the footer.

If that’s not what you meant, please clarify your question.

To get the sitelinks from google to show them with your searchresult, you must at least have a site which:

  1. Gets many visitors;
  2. Gets enough visitors on a page or category to be interesting for Google to grant you a sitelink for that page or category (for authority);
  3. Be sure to have a good and understandable site structure for the google crawler.

Only thing you can do is to get enough visitors and a good site structure with “amazing” good content ;–) and be patient. For the time being, fix any SEO problems, get more trusted backlinks (to pages you want as sitelinks), blog, write guest posts on other sites or social media networks.

So keep increasing your circle of influence… have fun :–)
